2024 Flower Removal Schedule
This schedule applies to both Spring Grove Cemetery and Oak Hill Cemetery. Normally, all flower placements, flags and decorations will be removed weekly on Thursday.

Flower Placement Policies
How frequently are flowers removed?
ALL flower placements, flags and decorations will be removed on days designated as removal dates. The dates are designated GREEN on the calendar above.
Flowers placed for a burial service will remain in place for 48 hours.
At certain times during the year, it may not be possible for the cemeteries to make removals due to unforeseen circumstances. This decision remains at the discretion of the Spring Grove Family.
What adornments are allowed?
Fresh cut flowers are encouraged throughout the year.
Artificial floral arrangements are permitted only in the months of November through March.
Only two arrangements may be placed on any space at one time.
Flower arrangements and wreaths may contain decorations consisting of non-plant material only as an incidental part of the arrangement or wreath; however, balloons are not permitted at any time.
What adornments are prohibited?
Adornments such as balloons, gravel, statuary and similar artificial decorations are prohibited and will be removed on sight.
Non-floral adornments are not permitted at any time. Prohibited items include:
- Balloons
- Balloon Releases
- Chinese Lanterns
- Christmas trees over 18” tall
- Garden Stepping Stones
- Gravel
- Holiday Placards
- Pinwheels
- Shepherd's Hooks
- Statues
- Trinkets
- Any non-floral, stand-alone decorations
Decorating the surrounding trees, shrubs or landscape with holiday ornaments, streamers, wind chimes, bird feeders, etc., is not permitted.
Can I place flowers and other adornments at the mausoleums or fountains?
Flowers are not permitted inside the Lakeside Mausoleums at any time. Memorialization may be made in the Book of Remembrance only. (Applies to Spring Grove Cemetery ONLY.)
Monument saddles or any other attachments to markers, monuments or Mausoleum crypt fronts are not permitted.
Placing/planting flowers or other objects in planters at Spring Grove Fountain of Remembrance, is not permitted. (Applies to Spring Grove Cemetery ONLY.)
Do you offer recurring floral placement services?
Our Everlasting Floral Placement Program is convenient and serves everyone who wishes to remember loved ones but may be unable to place flowers personally. This program ensures that your floral placement will be placed by our staff on the days you designate throughout the year.

Lost & Damaged Items
The cemeteries are not responsible for damaged or missing items or floral arrangements due to extreme weather conditions or wildlife damage.
Other Policies
Cemetery reserves the right, in such cases, to make exceptions, suspensions or modifications to these policies.
